A strange winter

It is crazy to think we are a third of the way into January, but yet to have what I would call a serious blizzard. Every time it snows, it is gone within a couple days in Concord. The dusting we received the other day gave me a small sense of winter normalcy, but it was mostly gone the next day.

It was nice getting out on a trail yesterday for my son’s Cub Scout hike to see snow, though everything was lightly covered in fog as the sun’s warmth did its best to melt it away. The fog and bright sunlight gave an almost mystical quality to the forest, I was immediately glad I risked my poor camera in the downpour of melting snow from the trees.

All photos were shot with my Fujifilm X-S10.
